What's on this month
Festival By Day, Feast By Night
This August, Edinburgh bursts into life with the Edinburgh International Festival and The Fringe - a thrilling three‑week celebration of theatre, comedy, dance and more. The Fringe Festival began back in 1947, when eight defiant theatre groups turned up uninvited to perform alongside the Edinburgh International Festival - sparking what would grow into the world's biggest and most electrifying arts festival.
After a day of shows, retreat to The Secret Garden or our Original Dining Room for an evening of candlelit dining - a dinner every bit as magical as the festivals themselves. Let the evening begin with a signature summer cocktail on the terrace, surrounded by the ambience of the festivals.

Inside it’s all wood panelling, velvety furnishing, and lots of soft candlelight. The library even has a secret bookcase and the rates include a bottle of champagne.
